WHAT TO EXPECT
Different patients have different needs, but to simplify things we have outlined the most common process below in an easy step-by-step outline. For children or young adolescents who are not ready for treatment, we will let you know and monitor them. Please see below.
Your First Appointment
We welcome you to the clinic, give you a quick tour and introduce you to the staff.
We will ask you to complete a patient questionnaire so that we can get to know you and understand your unique needs.
We take photographs of your face and teeth.
We take a low-radiation x-ray of your teeth (this is commonly referred to as a panoramic radiograph).
We discuss your treatment options, give you a quote and go over our courtesy reduction (discount) programme.
This visit takes approximately 30 minutes. We ask that you arrive 10 minutes early to complete your patient questionnaire if you haven’t already done so.
Your Second Appointment
We book you in for a digital impression (3D video) of your teeth. This is used to digitally place your braces or to order your clear aligners (Invisalign or Spark).
We take a low-radiation x-ray of the side of your face (commonly referred to as a lateral cephalogram).
We take payment of your deposit and/or arrange your finance. We also ensure all your paperwork is complete.
This visit takes approximately 30 minutes and can even be arranged for the same day as your first appointment if you would like.
Your Third Appointment
Your braces or clear aligners are placed.
We go over how to look after your braces/clear aligners and support you on the start of this exciting journey!
This appointment takes approximately 60 minutes and is generally booked for 3-6 weeks after your second appointment.
Young Children and Adolescents
If your child is not ready for treatment, they will be placed on our complimentary review list. This means that they will be monitored regularly until they are ready for treatment, at no extra charge. So the sooner you bring your children to see us, the more it benefits them!
